Erica Blaire Roby

Roby's appearance on Blue Smoke Grill (Food Network) shows that Roby has a lot more to her cooking background than most people realize. She worked with some of the top chefs in the country and received a grant from Preserve the Pit for $7,500. As she faced off against some of America's best chefs, her barbecue skills were put to the ultimate test. Roby made it through the tough competition, despite a broken finger.

Roby graduated in psychology and worked as a psychologist as well as as a criminal defense counsel. Before she competed on Food Network's Food Network, she worked as a wine expert, matching wines with dishes. This gave her the chance of regaining her passion for cooking. Roby grew up in a family that owned a barbecue restaurant.

Roby began cooking barbecue even though she was a lawyer. Inspired by her father's dream, Roby decided to start a barbecue restaurant. In 2018, Roby enrolled in a barbecue cooking course taught by celebrity pitmaster Harry Soo. She became a certified barbecue pitmaster, and soon began working at a barbecue restaurant.

Barbecue was a hobby that she began to enjoy and then became a passion. She started out by cooking on her backyard patio. After that, she was invited to compete in barbecue events across the country. She cooked alongside some of America's most famous pit masters. She has since opened several pop-ups all around Dayton. She hopes to one day open a food truck.

Team Brawl vs. Team Brawl and Team Anne

The Food Network BBQ Team Brawl's third season will see two of the most renowned chefs around the world team up to fight for the title of best griller. Anne Burrell will battle Jet Tila, Bobby Flay, and Team Anne in a dinner-party brawl. Matt Roth, who co-owns Smokin Beauty in Austin with his wife Thao, is also returning to "BBQ Brawl".

In the first episode of Food Network BBQ Team Brawl, Ann told the contestants what to make while Team Bobby and Jet let them choose what to make. As a result, Team Bobby failed to make his ceviche. This time Team Anne has an advantage. Anne even leapt down on Team Bobby's throat while he was reaching to get an ingredient.

Like all Food Network competitions there are many familiar faces in the new season BBQ Team Brawl. Lee Ann Whippen will be Team Anne's judge. Lee Ann has been barbecuing since 1993. Her business responsibilities include managing Deviled Pig Tampa and serving as a judge for Kansas City Barbecue Society. She has been a star on television shows such as Throwdown with Bobby Flay and BBQ Pitmasters, and has won numerous state and international barbecue championships.

In another battle, Flay and Symon battled it out over the best barbecue sandwich. This time, Lee Ann took a more traditional approach to the sandwich, while Susie went for an exotic twist. Although the judges liked her pork belly mi, they thought it was too thick. Team Anne's burger had great flavor and was juicy. It came on a sturdy bun.
